Continuation of the Mad Hearter's Dance Party!

((So this is where you all continue on with the RP. Easy yeah? XD))

"This won't happen again." Bre replied matter-of-factly. She wouldn't be going to any whorehouse; she didn't have to pay people to sleep with her. Fishing her wallet from the pocket of her tailcoat, she thumbed out the five hundred and placed it on the table.

"This was a one time thing, so I wouldn't even worry about fetching this replacement you mentioned." Slipping her coat back on, she picked up her top hat and ears and placed them on her head. It was true, she was being honest; this sort of thing? She didn't ever take part. It was a spur of the moment decision due to her strong dislike of the connotations that came with having to pay someone to sleep with one's self.

Giving Lola a sharp side glance, accompanied by a small smirk, the White Rabbit moved for the door. She no longer had any business in this room.

While others were using their time at the party gallivanting with whores and contracting all kinds of disease from each other, Artemis was rather content with the odd drink here and there and the amusing, drunken attempts at pick-up lines from other party goers; what was more amusing, though, was the looks on their faces once they realised she was laughing at them, not with them.

Standing up on her toes and giving a quick sweep of the room with her bemused gaze, the Diamond's eyes fell on the mysterious Hatter who had so kindly hosted such an amazing party. Rocking back onto the flats of her feet, the Cheshire Cat slunk through the crowd, ducking beneath passed drinks and pushing her way between squashed crowds of swaying dancers; they were all too drunk to really notice, anyway.

With a drink in her hand, and a curious smile on her face, Artemis approached this unknown Mad Hatter, lifting herself onto the stage with ignorance to any sort of stairs and stepping over to the table, slumping herself into a chair and sipping at the vodka half filling her glass.

"So what kind of nutter throws a party like this?" She questioned, the sarcasm basically dripping from her lips.

Looking up for the tea pot he was inspecting inside of, trying to figure out where all of his drink had gone, he grinned at the question poised to him by a rather good looking Cheshire Cat idolly sipping at her drink.

Shrugging, he went back to looking for his drink. "I dunno, what kind of nutter attends a party like this?" He asked, frowning as he sat the teapot down, waving his hands at the bartender to bring over more drinks for the table, swinging around in his seat to put his feet up on the polished wood.

"Not having enough fun, Chesh? You don't seem to be smiling in the slightest."

"Not enough fun?" Artemis questioned, a wide grin splitting her face as she leant on the edge of the table, her eyes sparkling with the slightest hint of intoxication. "How could I not be having enough fun at a party like this?" Placing her glass on the table, she sat back in what she now designated her chair, eyeing the Hatter's shoes a moment.

"Though I got'ta admit my face hurts a little from all the grinning. I mean fuck can that cat smile." She commented, pulling a face as if to stretch her cheek muscles. Her eyes soon found the mysterious man's face again, and she studied him a moment.

"So, no one knows who you are." The Jack stated, rocking back on the chair and, as of habit, fiddling with the bandages that hugged her knuckles so snugly. "The Mysterious Mr Hatter that seems to throw fuckin' great parties." The grin found it's way back to her face, but it didn't remain for long, dying down to a more reasonably amused smile.

"Will we ever know the man behind the party?" The smile turned to a rather curious, cheeky smile; she really would like to know who this guy was, and whether or not to make friend or foe of him.

"Do you ever think that the little girl's doll, 'Barbie' was based of the Cheshire Cat's smile?" He wondered, placing a finger to his chin in thought before shaking his head, dismissing the idea of the two sharing the same smart assed grin. At least the Cheshire Cat had a better reason for his.

Setting his feet back down on the ground, the Hatter leaned in part way over the table, returning the curious stare to the woman before grinning himself. Oh he did like a good guessing game. "Who, might you think I am? I am curious to know..."

What an interesting analogy. So this man was a thinker. Artemis ran her finger absently around the rim of her glass, staring at the clear alcoholic liquid inside a moment, before lifting her gaze to him once more.

"You could be one of a few people. I'm aware of few that would pull a stunt like this, and the fact that you seem to be a very strong individual personality wise once again narrows it down." The Jack seemed to be a little too analytical of this situation, though she smiled at him, one of her more charming smiles, and dropped her gaze once more.

"Perhaps you're merely one of the few.. Richer people from the City Centre, or maybe a narcissistic psycho who just likes the idea of people gathering because of him." Artemis was slightly aware that she wasn't really making sense, but in her head in made sense and really that was all that mattered.

"Though, perhaps you're someone more important." Her eyes found his again and that same, charming smile danced across her lips. "I'm no good at guessing games."

The grin never left his face, even when a fresh set of drinks were set down between the two, taking up an interesting shot glass full of green, brown and a splash of red, holding it up to show it off. "Squashed Frog," And downed it in one, putting the glass back down without any other emotion bar the grin on his face.

Taking up another drink, a tall glass of cola and Vodka, he turned it about in his hand. "So, you think I could be one of... lets say, many people in this city?" He replied, holding the gaze until he stared at the drink, then the people out on the dance floor. "You're right, you're not very good at guessing at all. But, what if I'm not from around here at all, Hmm...?"

"Then I have no idea." Artemis watched his hands rather closely, this 'squashed frog' seeming a little.. Odd, to say the least. She cast her gaze across the dance floor as he did, pushing her glass away slightly, only to take her eyes back to his face, a grin flashing across her features.

"Though I really am curious to find out." Resting her chin in her palm, and her elbow on the table, the Jack eyed him with a slight amusement. "What if you aren't from around here? What happens then?" The thumb of her free hand fiddled with the bandages at the base of her index, picking at the edge with her nail.

Snapping his fingers, The Hatter motioned for one of the Card Guards to come over, whispering into his ear and waving him off as he left, turning his attention back to the Cheshire Cat. "So, you want to know who I am, where I am from and possibly, what team I play for in this city's little war?"

Oh, he wasn't dumb, he knew about this city's four suit war, but so long as people turned up to his parties, that wasn't a concern. "And, if I wasn't from around here, I would return to my hotel room, claim what money was made off this party and head home." Another shrug of his shoulders and he removed his hat, wild brown hair frizzing up everywhere, giving it a scratch before putting the hat back into place.

"I am just a simple man of simple tastes. Just simply... Mad."

Mad all right. That was a fair description. Artemis let out a breathy chuckle.

"I would, though curiosity killed the cat I suppose." Crossing one leg over the other, she once against leant forward on the table, eyeing the Hatter's hat. "Wouldn't that be fitting." The Jack continued to fiddled with the bandages that hugged her knuckles, keeping her eyes focused on the detailing of the hat.

"Though I honestly cannot help but allow my imagination to run free with the possibilities of who you could be. Though I suppose if you seem to just vanish, I'll be pretty certain you're not from around here." Dragging her gaze back down to his face, she lifted a meticulously shaped brow.

"So. Is it one of those 'tell you I'll have to kill you' deals? 'Cause I'm sure I'd die with a smile on her face." The Cheshire Cat's grin split her face again, and she sat back. Oh what fun.

Clapping his hands together at the wonderful puns made, the wild haired man saluted the Cheshire cat at her use of words, taking up his cane and twirling it around a little, setting it down on the table with a bit of a thud, apologizing about the noise.

Then the grin dropped, his beautiful smile gone as he became serious about the subject, Hatter leaning up over the table to the grinning Cat, wriggling his finger at her, beckoning her to come closer.

"You really wish to know who I am?"

The way this man practically flew from mood to mood was intriguing, though the look on his face accompanied by his leaning closer gave a more sinister feel to the situation suddenly at hand. Artemis the Hatter a moment, watching his body language before casually leaning closer to him, the grin dulling itself to a playful, upturned line across her lips.

"I do, though I doubt I'm the only one." The Jack was very wary of where his hands were, though her eyes stayed focused on his; if he were to catch her by the throat now, it could all be over in mere seconds. But she doubted he would ruin his own party for a mere Curious Cat.

Leaning over the table, hovering just a few centimeters away from the very beautiful grinning cat girl, the Hatter whispered, "No, you aren't the only one who wants to know who I am, but one of the lucky few... I am, the Maddest Hatter ever."

Sitting back in his seat, his huge grin was back, plastered over his face as he waved his hand in front of him. "Unfortunately for you, dear Chesh, is that it is a matter of life and death for you over who I could be. But mad, I most certainly am."

Looking around the dance floor, he stood up and scrambled onto the table, waving the cane around above his head to get the DJ's attention, the music cut off and a spot light pointed at him. "Germs, ladies and drinkers! Time for some more fun in the form of a few party games! The prizes are most worth the entertainment!"

"What a shame." Artemis murmured to herself, leaning away from the table as it was thoroughly occupied by the man, her eyes on his feet as she listened to his announcement. Great, more fun and games. The small grin played across her features once again as she mulled over the Hatter's words; mad, he most certainly was, but that didn't sate the curiousity of who he may have been.

Glancing up to his figure, she listened contently to what he had to say, casting her gaze out toward the attentive crowd a moment. Though t his was overly interesting, she didn't exactly like being in front of crowds, or in the spotlight, so to speak.
